Cinema happened to me when I moved to Mumbai to pursue a course in Social Communications Media, Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. Thereafter I landed my self a position at BharatBala Productions as an Assistant Director. I worked for four years in creative conceptualization and production of commercials, music videos and feature films. One of the biggest challenges of my professional life has been to fulfill my role as Chief Assistant to Bharatbala, the Creative Director for the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010.

It was in June 2011 that I ventured out on my own to pursue my debut documentary film ‘Maidaan’. I love to shoot my own films and prefer to work with a small intimate crew. Photography is a passion, which I indulge in often in my travels across rural India.
